Lele Lele Orchestra – Amelia

Amelia sounds like a traditional song with a long history of being played at weddings and anniversaries, and yet it is an original piece written by Mihail Dinchev about his lover 20 years ago. Wild and passinate love ran through his life like a comet, leaving a beautiful trace in the form of a song that still touches people's hearts.

Apart from the timelessly elegant melodies, the song is notable for its raw and immediate sound. It almost feels like people who were having fun in the middle of the party just grabbed their instruments that happened to be at hand and started improvising. And you just can't help joining the fun!

Mihail Dinchev
The song is actually 20 years old but it never got released before now. It is an orginal song that I wrote and composed but it is in the style of traditional Roma (Gypsy) music from the Balkans. The song has a true story and a person connected to it. Back in the days when I studied in Stockholm Music College I met a girl called Amelia who was an exchange student. We fell in love and went thru a wild and passionate relation that unfortunetly could not last long. When we had parted the song just came out of me as a reaction of the sorrow but also summarising the whole thing. I asked my fellow band mates to record a demo just for me and Amelia and so I left it in the archives and that is 20 years ago. Recently when looking for some material for the band (Lele Lele Orchestra) I played it to them and they jumped at it and said "We need to play this and release it - it is a real Balkan Party Hit!

And so we were scheduling a recording session as it was a while ago since we release some new music and we had some other tunes too. We rearanged Amelia from the original version, practised pretty hard and went in to the studio Stureparken in Stockholm in March this year.
Salvatore Ganacci – Climb On My Shoulders

Marrying "In the Cave of the Mountain King" with octave-leaping bass, bright disco synths and distorted vocal breaks might seem like a disastrous idea on paper, but Salvatore Ganacci turns it into a lot of fun! The song could fit equally nicely into a hipster party or Eurovision contest, which makes it even more of a standout in our eyes.
Glass Spells – Venom

The fact that Glass Spells do sound a lot like Crystal Castles shouldn't surprise you. They put all the necessary hints in their band name. And for those who still didn't get it the band named their latest album "Crystal".

That might put off part of their audience, but would attract an even bigger crowd of admirers. Why? Because the music is great! Their latest single "Venom" has all your favourite ingredients: spooky synth lines, fat overdriven bass, detached vocals and catchy melodies. Prepare your veins and brains!
